Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
AI Service Atlas (aiserviceatlas.com) is operated by Generalize LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This policy explains what data we collect, why, where it goes, and what you can do about it. We try to keep this short and in plain English.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you contact us or subscribe to updates.
- Business profile inputs — when you use the AI advisor wizard, the business description, industry, size, and related context you enter so we can return relevant recommendations.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser, page, referrer, time) for operating and securing the site. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.
- Affiliate click events when you click an outbound link to a partner tool. We store the destination tool slug, the time, and a salted hash of your IP address — never the raw IP. This lets us count clicks without identifying you. Click records are retained indefinitely for fraud-prevention and reconciliation with affiliate networks.
- Advisor wizard inputs are retained for up to 90 days for improving the recommendation engine, then deleted.
Cookies and local storage
- We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
- The site uses browser localStorage for non-tracking user preferences (such as light/dark theme). This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
- Authenticated administrative areas (
/admin) use session cookies that are not present for public visitors. - When you click an outbound link to a partner tool, the destination site (and any affiliate network it uses) may set its own cookies on its own domain. Those are governed by that site's privacy policy, not ours.
How we use the data
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To return personalized tool recommendations from the advisor wizard.
- To honor affiliate-network click attribution so partner programs credit referrals correctly.
- To respond when you contact us (we use the email you provide only to reply).
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For visitors in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions, we process personal data under the following lawful bases (GDPR Article 6):
- Legitimate interest — operating, securing, and improving the site; fraud prevention on affiliate clicks; basic analytics-free server logs.
- Consent — when you submit information through the advisor wizard or contact form, you provide consent to process that information for the stated purpose.
- Contractual necessity — to fulfill any service you have explicitly requested.
Automated decision-making
The AI advisor wizard uses automated processing to generate tool recommendations from the business profile you submit. These recommendations are informational only, not legally binding decisions, and have no legal effect on you. You are free to disregard them. You can request human review of any recommendation by contacting us.
Sharing — categories of recipients
We do not sell personal data. We share limited operational data only with the following categories of service providers:
- Cloud hosting and managed database providers (US-based) — to operate the site and store catalog data.
- Affiliate networks — including Impact.com, which receives click attribution data when you follow an outbound affiliate link, per its own documentation.
- Email delivery providers — only when we reply to a message you send us.
We may also share data when legally compelled (subpoena, court order, law-enforcement request with valid legal basis).
Where your data is processed
Personal data is processed on servers located in the United States. If you are in the EU, UK, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with cross-border transfer restrictions, your data leaves your home jurisdiction when you use the site. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or your consent as the lawful basis for transfer.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you have rights including:
- Access to the personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
- Opt-out of any sale or sharing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis
- Right to lodge a complaintwith a supervisory authority. EU residents may complain to their national data-protection authority; UK residents to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); California residents to the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA).
To exercise any of these, email privacy@aiserviceatlas.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
AI Service Atlas is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 (or under the applicable age in your jurisdiction — 16 in parts of the EU). If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
